ISPA – University Institute, is one of the oldest institutions in the network of higher education in Portugal, with a commitment to training in Biology and, in particular, Marine Biology, based on research of excellence with more than two decades of existence.
MARE – Center for Marine and Environmental Sciences, a research centre related to the Sea with national implantation and with more than 500 researchers whose mission, among others, is to disseminate scientific knowledge in order to support sustainable development policies. Nautilus-Sub is the oldest and international diving school in Portugal, with more than thirty-five years of experience in teaching recreational diving. The Portuguese Marine Litter Association actions are focused on marine litter and microplastics. We offer educational activities and training and capacity development on the subject for all audiences. We communicate science and encourage change.

The Oceanário de Lisboa is committed to increase Ocean literacy in Portugal, promoting knowledge of the world Ocean and the will to contribute to its conservation, based on the values of sustainability and the need to protect marine biodiversity.
Escola Azul – Blue School is an educational programme of the Portuguese Ministry of Economy and Maritime Affairs. Its main goal is to improve the level of Ocean Literacy in schools, creating responsible and active generations that contribute to the Ocean’s sustainability.
