“Kids Dive – Discover the Ocean” is a dynamic educational experience that aims to deepen the knowledge on the Ocean, while raising awareness on marine ecosystems and its conservation. It is an extracurricular programme designed and adapted for children and young people, from 8 to 18 years old. This pedagogical programme is divided into several days of activities, whose specific order is selected by the schools or teachers responsible for each class/group. There is also “Day Zero”, which is the day on which the Kids Dive team goes to schools to present the project to participants and clarify all doubts, whether of students, teachers or parents.
EVALUATION OF IMPACT SURVEY
The Kids Dive programme began in 2018 and it is an innovative project with a strong practical component, which aims to raise awareness among children and young people on various topics related to Ocean Literacy. At its core, the programme aims to contribute to a change in the behaviour of its participants, in order to promote sustainable and informed attitudes. In order to evaluate the impact and the effectiveness of this program, we have developed a survey applied to the participants in two moments: before and after the Kids Dive activities. In this way we hope to evaluate our work, in order to contribute to its improvement in the future. Check our results!
